Hong Kong Air Cargo has launched a new intercontinental e-commerce route to London Stansted, the first UK route. The first flight, RH364 departed from Hong Kong International Airport at 00:05 HKT on February 4 and landed in London at 11:50 GMT. The airline operates this route with the Airbus A330-200F wide-body all-cargo aircraft, offering full cargo flight services between the two cities.

Hong Kong Air Cargo is an emerging cargo carrier in the region with the vision of becoming a leading global cargo airline. The airline was established in 2017 and has since been providing efficient and high-quality logistics solutions to its customers. The airline has a modern and diverse fleet of six all-cargo aircraft, including five A330-200Fs and one wet-leased A330-300P2F. The airline has a comprehensive network of routes covering Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, connecting major destinations such as Almaty, Bangkok, Chennai, Delhi, Dubai, Hanoi, Istanbul, Manila, Milan, Osaka, Shanghai, Singapore, Taipei and London.

The new e-commerce route to London Stansted is a strategic move for Hong Kong Air Cargo, as it aims to tap into the growing demand for online shopping and cross-border trade between China and Europe. The route will also enhance the connectivity and convenience for the cargo shippers, as London Stansted is one of the largest cargo airports in the UK, with easy access to London and other major cities in Europe. The route will also boost the economic cooperation between Hong Kong, China, and Europe, as Hong Kong serves as a global hub for air cargo logistics and a gateway for goods entering and exiting the mainland.

Captain Clifford Hung, President cum Chief Operations Officer of Hong Kong Air Cargo, said: “We are delighted to launch our new e-commerce route to London Stansted, a key milestone for our international expansion plan 2024. This route will provide our customers with more choices and flexibility for their air cargo logistics needs and create more value and opportunities for our stakeholders and partners. We are grateful for the support and cooperation from the Hong Kong International Airport, the London Stansted Airport, and the relevant authorities in both cities. We look forward to strengthening our collaboration and friendship with them.”

Hong Kong Air Cargo will continue to expand its network and offer more choices of air cargo logistics services in the future while committing to building an air bridge for economic and trade exchanges between China and other countries.
